Prof. Francis Berghmans of VUB-B-PHOT is coordinator-spokesperson of the project. The group will first enter its expertise for the modelling, design and characterization of the regular and microstructured optical fibres and gratings made therein as required for achieving CHARMING’s objectives. VUB-B-PHOT will also contribute its expertise in non-linear optics and in the optical properties of 2D nanocarbon materials to the project and participate in all modelling, proof-of-concept assemblies and characterization experiments in CHARMING.
